Upload Your IJMB or JUPEB Results or Lose Your Admission
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a final warning to all 2024 Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied using awaiting results from the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB) or the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB). According to JAMB, failure to upload these results as soon as they are released will lead to disqualification from the admission process.
Urgent Action Required for DE Candidates
In an official statement released on Sunday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, emphasized the need for affected candidates to upload their results at any approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) center without delay.
Benjamin noted that a significant number of candidates had registered for the 2024 DE admission with awaiting results but had yet to upload them. He warned that in line with JAMB’s admission policies, “no candidate would be considered for admission without valid results.”
Awaiting Result? You Risk Disqualification!
JAMB has made it clear that any application marked as ‘awaiting result’ (AR) that does not comply with this directive will automatically be disqualified from the admission process. All credentials must be verified to confirm candidates’ eligibility.
“Candidates without uploaded results will be regarded as not having any results,” Dr. Benjamin stated.
Proactive Steps for 2025 DE Applicants
JAMB also advised students planning to apply for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) admission to be proactive. Prospective applicants should ensure they upload their results immediately after they are released to avoid unnecessary delays or disqualification.
What Should You Do Now?
If you registered for the 2024 DE admission with awaiting results, take the following steps immediately:
- Check Your Result: Ensure your IJMB or JUPEB result has been released.
- Visit an Approved CBT Center: Locate an accredited JAMB CBT center near you.
- Upload Your Result: Provide your credentials and upload your results to the JAMB portal.
- Confirm Your Upload: Verify that your results reflect correctly in your JAMB profile.
Failure to act on this directive could mean losing your chance to secure university admission this year.
